The Manila Elks 761 Hospital Visitation Program

If the Lodge is contacted and advised that a US Veteran has been hospitalized in the Metro Manila  or Cavite area, a volunteer from the Lodge will visit the Veteran as soon as possible

The Volunteer will due the following:

• Deliver a basic hygiene kit
• Ask who the veteran wants contacted
• Family and/or Friends
• The US Veterans Affairs Office (for field visit/possible benefits)
• The US Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
• The US Embassy
• Faith based organizations
• The volunteer will limit communications to those the Veteran request
• The volunteer will coordinate appropriately with the Hospital Social Services department

Procedure for requesting a visit

  • The name of the Veteran
  • A means to contact the information provider who contacted the Lodge
  • The Veterans Medical Facility Location
  • Any other pertinent information
• The Lodge will make a visit and communicate accordingly
• The Lodge will confirm a visit was made
• The Lodge will advise what information the Veteran agreed to circulate
• The Lodge will respect privacy
